The berries and leaves of Juniper have been used as a healing medicine for many moons. All foraged here on our farm in Leesville, SC, combined together, slowly infused into rich, organic olive oil, and blended with tallow fat from cows that I raised myself makes this medicine extra special. Tallow is high in vitamins A, D, K, E & B12. It is non-comedogenic, meaning it will not clog your pores. It penetrates deeply to prevent dryness at a cellular level, something we all need as the days are finally getting colder. Tallow is antimicrobial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory. When creating this blend, not only did I have skin nourishment in mind, I also heard the voice of my dearest friend in my heart. I gifted her my earliest formulation, including lavender and arnica oil and she used to to heal scar tissue on a labial tear from her first birth (seven years ago!). She urged me to create a tallow formula that was specifically for the delicate tissues of the vaginal and perineal areas. So that's exactly what this is.
