Frequently Asked Questions
Gentle, informed answers for families seeking craniosacral care for themselves and their babies.
Please read through these commonly asked questions before coming to your first session.
What training do you have?
I am a craniosacral therapy practitioner with a background deeply rooted in birth work. I have spent years supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, and my craniosacral training is informed by this lens of physiological birth, nervous system regulation, and trauma-aware care. My formal training includes both a two-year in person apprenticeship model, as well as a MEAC accredited certification in Body Balancing and Myofascial Unwinding.
My work emphasizes gentle touch, deep listening, and respect for the body’s innate wisdom. I do not force change or “correct” the body, but rather support conditions that allow for integration, release, and regulation.
What can I expect during a craniosacral therapy session?
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on modality that works with the nervous system and connective tissues of the body.
During a session, you will rest fully clothed on a treatment table (or bed, for home visits). Touch is light and non-invasive. Sessions are generally quiet and slow, allowing the body to respond at its own pace. Some people experience deep relaxation, emotional release, subtle shifts in awareness, or physical unwinding.
Each session is unique. There is no forcing, cracking, or manipulation.
What is fascia?
Fascia is a continuous web of connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles, organs, nerves, and bones. It plays a significant role in posture, movement, circulation, and nervous system communication.
Physical stress, injury, surgery, pregnancy, birth, and emotional experiences can all contribute to tension or restriction within the fascial system. Gentle fascial support can help restore ease, mobility, and communication throughout the body.
Do you work with babies?
Yes. I offer specific packages focused on newborn and infant care, as well as mother–baby dyadic support. Infant sessions are exceptionally gentle and always led by the baby’s cues.
Please note that my Postpartum Craniosacral Care Package is designed exclusively for the mother. Baby-focused and dyadic care are offered through separate packages.
What is the difference between office visits and in-home visits?
In-home visits offer care within the familiarity of your home and are especially supportive during the early postpartum period. These visits are limited in availability and include travel time and setup.
Office visits take place in a quiet, contained space designed specifically for nervous system regulation. Office care offers greater scheduling flexibility and is ideal for ongoing or series-based support.
Both options provide the same quality of care — they are simply different containers.
Are there travel fees for in-home visits?
Yes.
In-home packages are offered within a limited service area. Locations more than 30 minutes from Batesburg–Leesville are subject to additional travel fees. Travel fees are based on distance and time and are discussed prior to booking.
How long does a session last?
Typical sessions last 45–75 minutes, depending on the package and focus.
What should I wear to a session?
Comfortable, loose clothing is recommended. All sessions are fully clothed.
Can CST be combined with other therapies?
Yes! CST works beautifully alongside physical therapy, chiropractic care, lactation support, and other modalities.
How many sessions will I need?
It varies. Packages are designed to provide a container of care. Many clients continue with office sessions after completing home visit packages, to provide maintenance care.
Payment & Insurance
Craniosacral therapy is typically paid out-of-pocket. I accept cash, Venmo, and card payments, including HSA at visits. Some clients submit receipts to insurance for complementary care reimbursement.
Booking & cancellations
Please book in advance to secure your preferred dates. I understand that life is unpredictable. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur the full session fee, as this time is reserved just for you.

Limited Availability
In-home visits are intentionally limited each month to allow for grounded, present, and unhurried care.
