As a student midwife, doula of 6 years, lactation educator, and granddaughter of a phenomenal IBCLC, my lactation course aims to help prepare new and seasoned parents alike for the experience of physiologic child nourishment. If my grandmother taught me anything, it's that breastfeeding is natural, but it isn't always easy. In this course geared towards the prenatal parent, we will cover topics like: *How it works *Why breastfeeding is important *Postpartum nutrition *Breastfeeding after birth *Breastfeeding in the first weeks *Breastfeeding your growing baby *Common myths *How to know if your baby is getting enough *Family support *Overcoming common problems *And more Taught in the comfort of your own home. Typically takes 2-3 hours. Also taught in a group setting during the Nurtured Roots Childbirth and Parenting Series. Included in doula services. Online version included in purchase. Contact for consultation before booking. Typically best for parents around 34-36 weeks, so that the knowledge is fresh when baby arrives!
