Service Description

The postpartum period is often overlooked. We take all the birth prep classes, we hire all the support people for labor, and we think that once the baby comes we will just magically be capable of becoming superwoman. But it's okay (and encouraged) to ask for help. Simple things like washing the dishes, preparing snacks for when the big kids get home from school, or making you a cup of hot tea help to build this sense of community. It says "I care about you in this time, I care whether or not you get time to heal, I care about you feeling overwhelmed." Asking for help doesn't mean you're lazy, it doesn't mean you're failing, it means you have a community and you know how to use it. It means you value your healing time and you make sure you get what you need. It means you can be a better mama because your cup is filled and you aren't overwhelmed by the day to day tasks that have to be done (even if your bottom is still sore). If you are looking to feel fully supported after your baby is actually here, book postpartum services. My philosophy around the postpartum involves whole food nourishment for the mother and attachment parenting support for the dyad. My 15 years of mother-baby support and education experience has blessed me with a wealth of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Guiding mothers towards their own inner knowing so that when I leave, you know that you can fully trust in yourself and your baby. Sessions are limited to daytime hours only. 7am-7pm Four hour minimum per day. Drive times over 30 minutes, $10/hour. Contact for consultation before booking.
